The Head: Business Experience

Ed brings 50,000 hours as a business owner and CEO — having started, grown, and sold several companies across a 25-year entrepreneurial career. His consulting work spans corporate turnarounds, rapid growth transitions, strategic planning, KPI development, and sale negotiations with dozens of owners and CEOs.

The Heart: Faith & Family

Ed has been a man of faith for over 50 years — a church elder and Bible study leader for 25 of those, a youth and young adult leader, and a board member of Christian nonprofits for over a decade. He coaches from the conviction that the personal and spiritual side of leadership is just as important as the business side.

The Why

Everything Ed does flows from a single purpose: 'To engage Christian business owners and CEOs in building great companies and living lives that glorify God.' That why is the lens through which every coaching conversation, consulting engagement, and Flywheel Forum session is filtered.

How it works

How We Work

Information Gathering

Before your first coaching session, you'll complete intake information about yourself and the organization you lead. Ed has found that the success of any engagement is closely tied to the groundwork done early — so this step is taken seriously, not treated as a formality.

First Session: Set the Focus

Together you and Ed review the provided information and agree on the initial areas of focus. This conversation sets the direction so every subsequent session builds on clear, shared priorities rather than starting from scratch each time.

Ongoing Coaching — Primarily In Person

The majority of your coaching sessions happen in person where location permits. Being in the room together creates a different quality of conversation — one that's harder to replicate on a screen. Sessions are scheduled to fit the natural rhythm of your business and leadership needs.

Between-Session Access

Life in a business doesn't pause between coaching appointments. Ed provides reasonable phone access between sessions so you can work through a pressing situation, think out loud, or get a quick reality check when it actually matters.

In their words

Owners and CEOs tell their stories.

Good to know

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this coaching designed for?

Ed works specifically with Christian business owners and CEOs — people who are leading their own companies and are serious about integrating their faith with their business leadership. If you own or lead a business and want a coach who understands both the professional and the spiritual dimensions of that role, this is built for you.

What does the coaching process look like?

It starts with an intake phase where you provide information about yourself and your organization before the first session. From there, you and Ed agree on areas of focus. Sessions are primarily in person in the Denver area, with phone access between meetings for real-time situations.

What is Flywheel Forum?

Flywheel Forum is a peer advisory group for Christian business owners and CEOs, facilitated by Ed in Denver. It's a small, high-trust group where members work through real business and leadership challenges together — with individual coaching from Ed alongside the group sessions.

What kinds of business challenges does Ed help with?

The range is wide: leadership and culture, rapid growth transitions, strategic planning, corporate turnarounds, KPI development, partner disputes, and preparing a business for sale. The common thread is that these are the real challenges business owners face — not textbook scenarios.

Does Ed only work with people in the Denver area?

Coaching sessions are primarily in person where location permits, so proximity to Denver matters. Reach out directly to discuss your situation — Ed can speak to what's workable.

Is the faith component central or optional?

It's central. Ed's coaching is intentionally built for Christian business owners and CEOs — his stated purpose is to help them build great companies and live lives that glorify God. Faith isn't an add-on; it's woven into how he approaches every engagement.
